List of wayside shrines and wayside crosses in the Görlitz district

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The wayside shrines and wayside crosses in the Görlitz district in Saxony mostly date from the pre-Reformation period. In the Catholic-Sorbian region of Upper Lusatia , many small religious monuments (mostly from the 17th to 20th centuries) have been preserved, while only a few objects still exist in the other parts of Saxony.

Figures of saints are also enumerated, provided they have the character of wayside shrines, ie are placed on their own plinths in the area and not in facade niches on buildings.
