from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The list of postage stamp issues for the Central America and Caribbean Games gives an overview of the stamps issued for the occasion. Most of the time, the postal administrations of the organizing countries have issued postage stamps for the Central America and Caribbean Games, which have been held every four years since 1926 (until 1935 Central American Games ), in Spanish Juegos Deportivos Centroamericanos y del Caribe . In addition, Cuba contributed expenses to the Games from 1962 to 1998 (with the exception of 1986, as host in 1962 and 1982) and again in 2018. The Dominican Republic also contributed expenses in the period from 1974 to 1993 (with the exception of 1990, hosting in 1974 and 1986) and again in 2018. So far, Panama (1962), Guatemala (1978) and Nicaragua (1982) have issued postage stamps for the Games as host countries . The most popular games so far have been those from 1978 in Medellin, Colombia, with editions from four countries. The postal administrations of Panama (1938) and Jamaica (1962) took the games as an opportunity to publish their first block .
After the stamps had lost their validity, they came into circulation again with the imprint habilitado (Michel no. 504-513), also with the new value stage imprinted (Michel no. 541).
For this edition stamps were used, partly changed in color, which had appeared on the occasion of the 1960 Olympic Games and were provided with an imprint.
This year, Cuba issued stamps for the 40th anniversary of participation in the Games in San Juan ( Puerto Rico ) (Michel no. 4815-4817).
