from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The list of stamp issues for the Africa Games gives an overview of the stamps issued for the occasion. Most of the time, the postal administrations of the organizing countries have issued postage stamps for the Africa Games , which have been taking place every four years since 1965 , French Jeux Africains , English (All) African Games . Especially in the early days, some host countries, such as Niger , contributed postage stamps to the games four times. The most popular games to date were the first in Brazzaville in 1965, with editions from seven countries.
The stamps are labeled Eliminatories Poule y Leopoldville and apparently related to the preliminary round of ball games held in Leopoldville, now Kinshasa . Two of these stamps were also printed on the occasion of the Congolese Games in 1967 (Michel no. 301/302)
