List of Chief Ministers of Himachal Pradesh

The following table lists the Chief Ministers of Himachal Pradesh with terms of office and party affiliation. Himachal Pradesh was a federal state from 1950 to 1956. From November 1, 1956 to January 25, 1971, it had the status of a Union Territory and has been directly under the central government ever since. However, on July 1, 1963, the office of Chief Minister was reintroduced.
