List of honorary citizens of Neuötting
The honorary citizenship is the highest municipal award of the city of Neuötting . It is awarded to citizens who have made outstanding contributions to the city's reputation and who have decisively influenced its development. Since July 21, 1967, the legal basis has been the statute on honors and awards of the city of Neuötting . In addition to honorary citizenship, the city also awards a citizen's medal.
Since 1901 the following people have been made honorary citizens. The honorary citizenship granted to Fritz Blachian during the Nazi era was revoked on March 26, 1947, as the majority of the population disapproved of the fact that the most loyal supporters and significant beneficiaries of the Third Reich retained such an honor in democratic Germany.
Note: The listing is done chronologically according to the date of award. According to the city's website and the local press, there were no awards between 1958 and 2015.

- Spiritual councilor, parish priest
- Awarded on April 17, 1901
- The appointment as an honorary citizen took place in grateful recognition for his many years of beneficial work as a city pastor and as a proof of love and veneration.

Wolfgang Neubig (born July 5, 1847; † October 28, 1930)

- Awarded on July 17, 1915
- After 31 years of activity, Neubig was made an honorary citizen for his valuable services rendered in such a long time and in the most difficult circumstances of the city, as well as for his unremitting efforts to raise and promote the interests of the city.

- Wirth was a board member of the Kgl for many years. District Office Altötting. He was made an honorary citizen in grateful recognition for his caring efforts to ensure the prosperous development of the district in 25 years, not least of the city of Neuötting.

- Leeb was granted honorary citizenship in recognition of his immortal contributions to the city, which wrenched his literary activities in the local historical field from oblivion.

- Awarded on March 14, 1957
- Aigner worked in the municipal hospital for 43 years, initially as a surgical nurse and since July 31, 1929 as superior. In this long period of activity, she has earned so much merit in the service of nursing with an unusual achievement that one of her debt of gratitude was fulfilled by being granted honorary citizenship. The Second World War and two severe typhus epidemics in 1946 and 1948 fall into the selfless, responsible and self-sacrificing work.
