Coat of arms of the city of Neutraubling

The honorary citizenship is the highest municipal award of the city of Neutraubling . It honors citizens who have made a special contribution to the city.

So far, seven people have been made honorary citizens. As early as 1951, shortly after the community was founded, applications were made for the first appointments to become honorary citizens in the community council. Mayor Hans Herget and District Administrator Leonhard Deininger , who had made a great contribution to founding the community, were to be honored. The applications were rejected on the grounds that it was not customary for such a young community to appoint honorary citizens.
