This list of honorary citizens of St. Wendel shows the honorary citizens of St. Wendel . Honorary citizenship is awarded as the highest honor for services to the welfare and development of the city. Since 1869 the following people have received this honor.

  1. Eberhard Herwarth von Bittenfeld (* September 4, 1796 - † September 2, 1884)
    Commanding general of the VIII Army Corps
    Awarded on June 18, 1869
    General von Bittenfeld was made an honorary citizen for the establishment of a district command in St. Wendel.
  2. Clemens Freiherr von Schorlemer-Lieser (born September 29, 1856 - † July 8, 1922)
    Royal Minister of State and Minister of Agriculture, Domains and Forests
    Awarded on August 11, 1910 at Lichtenberg Castle
