2002

Between 2000 and 2002, a directive of the EU Commission was implemented in Germany, according to which the timetable change during the year will take place on the night of the second Saturday in June to the following Sunday and the annual timetable change on the night of the second Saturday in December to the following Sunday should. For this reason, formally speaking, there is no separate timetable year 2002.

2003 to 2009

The official EU-wide timetable change from winter to summer timetable 2006 took place as indicated below. On May 28, 2006, the new main train station in Berlin (see Berlin Central Train Station ) and the associated access routes went into operation. Since this had far-reaching effects on train traffic throughout the country, the timetable change in Germany was scheduled for the weekend of 27./28. May 2006 preferred. The actual timetable change on the weekend of 10./11. June 2006 only minor changes came into force. All timetable media, such as B. Course book and electronic travel information were also adjusted on May 28, 2006.
