List of general superintendents in Eisenach
This list of the general superintendent in Eisenach shows all office holders during the period of the existence of the general superintendent in Eisenach . During the existence of an independent principality of Saxony-Eisenach in the 16th to 18th centuries, it was the only general superintendent in the state. When Saxony-Eisenach became part of the Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach in 1741 , the general superintendent and the senior consistory in Eisenach initially remained. It was not until an ordinance of September 25, 1849 that both senior consistory (and thus the general superintendent's offices) in Eisenach and Weimar were dissolved in order to create a unified regional church . The last Eisenach general superintendent Nebe was allowed to use his title until he retired.
