The list of Graz city gates includes all existing and former gates of the historic Graz city ​​fortifications. The total of eleven gates, two of which have been preserved, were all in the area of ​​the Inner City district .

Legend

The list is structured as follows:

  • Name: The names are in alphabetical order.
  • Part of the city fortifications by era: Describes the affiliation of the gate to the respective fortification belt.
  • Location / coordinates: Specification of the alley and the location coordinates , if known.
  • In-service period: The period in which the structure was in place is given. If no exact year of construction can be given, a division into centuries is made.
  • Brief description: Here historical and architectural features are mentioned that are important for the respective city gate.
  • Image: In this column there is a picture with a historical view or a modern photo of the respective gate, if available.
