List of high-rise buildings in Montreal

This is a list of the tall buildings in Montreal , Canada's second largest city . There are currently 25 high-rise buildings that are higher than 120 meters. At 51 floors and 205 meters, 1000 de La Gauchetière is the highest.

The municipal building regulations stipulate that no high-rise building may exceed the summit of the local mountain Mont Royal (233 meters above sea level) (with the exception of antennas). The maximum building height is further restricted in many parts of the city and a height of 120 meters may only be exceeded on some central plots. Higher skyscrapers than the existing ones are theoretically only possible in lower parts of the city center; the maximum height would then be about 210 meters.

In 2014, 40 buildings were under construction. The tallest of these is the L'Avenue building, which should reach 175 meters and will have 50 floors. Completion of the building is scheduled for 2017. The Tour des Canadiens is currently the second tallest building in the construction phase. When completed in 2016, it should reach a height of 167 meters and also have 50 floors. The third tallest building is the Roccabella (East Tower), with 147 meters and 40 floors.
