Ernst August von Donop was appointed director of the state parliament. The state committee was elected for 6 years by the state parliament on September 5, 1821. It consisted of von Donop, Rose, Ortloff, Rosenthal von Bünau and Fischer. On November 18, 1821, von Bünau left at his own request. Imhoff became his successor.
The state of research on by-elections is unclear. On March 8, 1824, Anton von Koenitz declared his resignation from the state parliament. This was rejected by the Landtag on April 1, 1824 on the grounds that, according to Section 58, resignation is only possible due to illness or an official declaration of indispensability. On April 22nd, 1824, Anton von Koenitz presented a medical certificate attesting that he had gout and from then on he no longer appeared.
On May 22, 1824, the state parliament asked the duke to have new elections held. In addition to Anton von Könitz, this also affected Johann Carl Schöner, who died in November 1821, and Johann Volkmar Gebhardt (the reasons for his departure are unknown). It is unclear whether and when by-elections took place. From August 1824, the state parliament protocols name Schultheiss Gräf from Exdorf, businessman Balthasar Müller from Neustadt and businessman Saenger as members of the state parliament.
