This is a list of the number one hits in Billboard's Most Played Juke Box Folk Records (Hillbillies, Spirituals, Cowboy Songs, Etc.) , Best Selling Retail Folk Records, and Country & Western Records Most Played By Folk Disk Jockeys in the United States in 1950. These charts are considered the predecessors of the Hot Country Songs introduced in 1958 . There were sixteen number one songs that year.
