The list of the number one hits in the jukebox folk charts in the USA (1946) is based on the most played titles in certain US locations, determined by Billboard every week in 1946. The data was collected on a weekly basis “from a selected group of jukebox operators whose locations require Folk Records ”. There were eight number one singles in 1946.
