Ramsar areas in Bhutan are protected wetlands in Bhutan according to the Ramsar Convention concluded in 1971 . These are of international importance, according to the intention of the international international treaty in particular as a habitat for water and wading birds .

Bhutan has three Ramsar areas (as of June 2017) with an area of ​​12.26 square kilometers .
