List of regiments of the Kurheinische Reichskreis

The kurrheinische Circle included the four Rhenish electorates since 1512 Kurtrier , Palatinate , Kurmainz and Electorate of Cologne . Smaller members were the territories of the Teutonic Order Coming Koblenz , the Duchy of Arenberg , the Burgraviate Rheineck , the County of Niederisenburg and the Lordship of Beilstein.

In the event of war, the Kurheinische Reichskreis had to provide a troop contingent to the Reichsarmee .

Regiments

In the Seven Years' War from 1757 to 1763, the troops were kurrheinische as Circle troops not involved in the "Imperial Reichsexekution army." However, the troops of the four Kurhein territories are named separately.

Cavalry regiments

  • Cuirassier Regiment Kurpfalz
The 2nd and 3rd squadrons of the Zweibrücken Equestrian Regiment and the Upper Rhine District Squadron were combined to form the Kurpfalz Cuirassier Regiment during the Seven Years' War.
