Steinstrasse ( location ) |
1834 | Narrow stone cross on a columnar substructure with a niche for a figure of Mary. The cross was erected as a replacement for an old wooden cross according to a resolution of the Eilendorf municipal council on April 2, 1834. During the Nazi era, the cross was a thorn in the side of the Nazis meeting in the neighboring old school, and it should be torn down. The fact that this cross was preserved is thanks to the Eilendorf stonemason Adam Ortmanns. |
