The Lithuanian Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired ( Lithuanian Lietuvos aklųjų ir silpnaregių ugdymo centras ) is a boarding school and grammar school for the blind and visually impaired in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius , it is a state general education school .

history

On September 1, 1975, the Antanas Jonynas Boarding School was established with the pre-school education department. Today's center was founded on February 1, 1994. Forerunners were the Jonynas boarding school and the school for social education for the blind. On September 4, 2012, the school statute was approved by the Ministry of Education of Lithuania .
