Little Blue Books

Little Blue Books is a paperback series that was founded in 1919 by Emanuel Haldeman-Julius in Girard , Kansas and continued until 1978.

Its purpose was to make literature of all genres accessible to less well-off people. The books were 8.9 cm * 12.7 cm in size and thus also fit in a worker's jacket pocket. They were printed on plain paper and initially cost 5 cents. The paperbacks were very popular. Over 300 million books in the series have sold.
