Emanuel Haldeman-Julius (born July 30, 1889 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , † July 31, 1951 ), born Emanuel Julius , was a socialist reformer and publisher of Jewish descent. Six months after marrying Marcet Haldeman in 1915, their last names were both linked.

After working as a journalist in Chicago , he moved to Girard , Kansas , in 1915 , where he founded the Little Blue Books series in 1919 , with which he and Marcet brought out classic texts in simple, inexpensive editions, making them accessible to the less wealthy. The books had a format of 8.9 cm × 12.7 cm, the first edition appeared in 1919 for 5 cents. A total of 100 million copies were sold. The book series was a great success and brought them corresponding wealth. He later founded the series Big Blue Books in the format 21.6 cm × 14 cm

His name is occasionally spelled Halderman-Julius, also by publishers.
