information Latest version: v2.0a

Little Fighter 2 was programmed by Marti Wong and Starsky Wong in 1999. Their goal was to create a game that could be played on any Windows PC anywhere in the world .

Little Fighter 2 is by far the best known and most widespread version. Compared to its predecessor, the graphics have been improved, and there are now 21 different characters with more special attacks. There are also more game modes. The game can be played with up to four players at the same time on one PC and with up to eight players over a network. The characters can be controlled by humans and / or the computer.

From version 2.0 there is also a "survival" mode, in which the player alone or with several players must survive the enemy attacks and a recording function with which the battles in Little Fighter 2 can be recorded. However, these recordings can only be viewed in the game itself, as they are saved in the .lfr format . With the enclosed lfr_summary_generator it is possible to create clear tables with the results of the recordings in Excel format.

There are many modifications created by Little Fighter fans. Usually the characters, weapons, special attacks and backgrounds have been changed or new ones have been added.

Gameplay

At the beginning of the game, the player selects a character who has standard, character-specific special attacks and items available to all characters to defeat the opponent.

There are different game modes, such as the "VS" mode, the "Stage" mode, two "Championship" modes and the "Battle" mode. "VS" is a simple death match. The aim of the "Stage" mode is to fight your way through 5 worlds ("Stages") and defeat all opponents and bosses. "Championship" offers a tournament based on the knockout principle .

Little Fighter Online

Little Fighter Online was released in 2005. It's particularly popular in Hong Kong and not very common outside of it. That's because, unlike the previous versions, it's not free. Rather, as with a trading card game, so-called booster packs can be bought, which provide the player with new attacks, characters or items.

Little Fighters Hikers

Little Fighters Hikers is currently the only browser game based on Little Fighter 2 . You choose one of the characters from Little Fighter 2 and then try to assert yourself against others. The game was created with the consent of Marti Wong and is only published in German so far. The development has not continued for a few years.
