Little Waterhouse Island is an island measuring 2.5 hectares . It is part of the Waterhouse Island Group on the northeast coast of Tasmania , Australia .
The island consists mostly of bare rock. It is part of the Ninth and Little Waterhouse Islands Important Bird Area (IBA) as it is home to more than 1% of black face scars, according to BirdLife International estimates .
fauna
In addition to black-faced shags, a number of sea birds are recorded as breeding birds on the island; including Little Penguin , Pacific Gull , Silver Gull , sooty oystercatcher and Caspian tern .
