Liu Yunfeng

Liu Yunfeng ( Chinese  劉云峰  /  刘云峰 , Pinyin Liú Yúnfēng ; born August 3, 1979 in Suihua , People's Republic of China ) is a former Chinese athlete .

Life

The walker won silver at the 1998 Junior World Championships over the 10 km distance. Among the active, he finished 20th in the 20 km walk at the 1999 World Championships . In 2000 he qualified for the Olympic Games in Sydney and was considered a gold aspirant. Shortly before the games, however, he was tested positive in a training check and later banned for two years. After his suspension, he reached fifth place in the 2004 Walker World Cup. At the Olympic Games in Athens he was 25th. In 2005 he finished 28th at the World Championships .
