The Liupan Mountains (Liupan Shan 六盘山 , also Liupan Shanmai 六盘山 脉 or (for the southern part) Long Shan 陇 山 ) in southern Ningxia and eastern Gansu is one of the few north-south mountain ranges in China in the border area of the Chinese provinces of Ningxia, Gansu and Shaanxi .
It is about 240 km long and forms the watershed between the Wei He 渭河 and Jing He 泾 河 rivers . Its main peak is the Migang Shan 米缸 山 on the border of Jingyuan 泾 源 and Longde 隆德 with 2942 m .
