Lletres de batalla

Lletres de batalla are Catalan feudal letters which , in addition to the legal formula style, which is often perceived as dry, reveal the personal literary style of the various Catalan knights and are sometimes spiced with sophisticated irony . The Lletres de batalla were often posted publicly and thus part of literary life.

What is particularly important is the influence on the medieval Catalan chivalric novels , which tend to delay the plot through the Lletres de batalla .
