Llyn Trawsfynydd is a reservoir at Trawsfynydd in Gwynedd , North Wales . It was created in 1928 and covers an area of 4.8 km². The Trawsfynydd nuclear power plant located here was shut down in 1991. A hydropower plant continues to generate electricity.
