Loch Calavie is a freshwater lake in Scotland . It is located in the Skye and Lochalsh district in the Highland Council Area . Loch Calavie has the typical elongated shape of a lake created by glaciers in the Ice Age . It is around 1,600 m long, but on average only around 400 m wide. It has a water volume of about 0.008 km³ and a surface area of 0.67 km². An area of around 16 km² drains into the lake.
The shores of the lake appear exclusively as grassland and are completely uninhabited. West of Loch Calavie is the 797 m high Beinn Dronaig, east of the 986 m high Lurg Mhòr . The lake is not accessed by any road. Loch Calavie can only be reached via an unpaved dirt road from Patt Lodge on Loch Monar .
