Loch Druidibeag (also called Loch Druidibeg ) is a Scottish freshwater lake on the island of South Uist , which is part of the Outer Hebrides . The lake is just east of the village of Stilligarry . Loch Druidibeag is about 3.7 kilometers long and about 1.3 kilometers wide in most places. There are numerous islands in the lake, the largest of which makes up about a quarter of the area of the lake.
Loch Druidibeag is only served by a single lane road with passing points, the A865 , and is one of the largest bird breeding areas in Great Britain ; especially gray geese and mute swans breed there in large numbers.
