Logo mat

A logomat is a textile floor covering with a back coating of rubber ( nitrile butadiene rubber ), or various PVC - compounds . Signets, claims, logos and names of companies, products or promotions are printed on the top using the textile printing process (digital textile printing).

If logo mats are used as an advertising medium, one speaks of advertising mats. One speaks of designer mats when they are used for embellishment.

material

There are primarily tufted ( tufted ) Saxony carpet upper goods from polyamide or velor PA 6 or PA 6.6 is used. The textile fiber in Saxony carpet outerwear is thermofixed in heatsetting , velor is not fixed.

Printing system

Takes place using digital printing technology ( digital printing ) in the Chromojet spray printing system, in which paint is injected directly into the pile of the carpet with a nozzle system. The nozzles are arranged in color groups, which in turn are mounted on a movable carriage. The carriage moves back and forth over the area to be printed, the nozzles open and close up to 400 times per second, creating the desired print image. The inks are pre-mixed. The colors are fixed with steam, then waxed to remove unfixed colors and then dried.

Colors and durability

Depending on the requirements, different dyes ( dyes - acid dyes, metal complex dyes or reactive dyes ) are used. The selection depends on the requirement profile of the surfaces to be printed.

Back coating

PVC back coatings or nitrile butadiene rubber back coatings ( NBR ) are used as the back coating ( textile coating ) for logo advertising and design mats . Which back coating is used depends on the intended use of the mat. If the logo, advertising and design mats are to be cleaned in industrial washing machines ( washing machines ), the NBR rubber coating is ideal because of the permanent, heavy load in the industrial washing machines . If industrial washability is not in the foreground, then coating with PVC compounds is the most common backing for this type of mat.
