Lohmann & Rauscher (L&R) is a developer, producer and supplier of medical and hygiene products. The internationally active group of companies was formed in 1998 from the merger of the German company Lohmann (founded in 1851) and the Austrian company Rauscher (founded in 1899).

There are more than 5,000 employees. The group of companies is represented in 2019 with 49 group companies and holdings in 22 countries and with more than 130 partner companies. Locations with headquarters function are Rengsdorf ( Germany ) and Vienna ( Austria ). In 2019, the group generated sales of more than 670 million euros.

The range includes over 16,000 products from the fields of medicine, care and hygiene - from bandages, bandages (e.g. under the Rosidal brand), bandages and orthoses (e.g. under the Cellacare, Velpeau, epX brands), plaster room products ( e.g. under the Cellona brand), wound dressings for all phases of wound healing (under the Suprasorb brand family), surgical set systems and hygiene (e.g. under the Raucodrape, Kitpack, Setpack, Sentinex brands) to consumer Articles (e.g. under the brands Bellawa cotton wool products or Senta women's hygiene products). Most recently, the group expanded its range of services for hospitals with the L&R Optiline service concept. In the field of medical technology, L&R introduced the Suprasorb CNP range for negative pressure therapy in 2008.

Customers include hospitals, doctors, nurses and pharmacies, medical and medical specialist retailers, wholesalers and industry and, in the consumer business, retailers.
