The wage and income tax aid ring Germany e. V. (Steuerring) has been active nationwide as a wage tax aid association since 1969 .
In over 1,100 advice centers, the association looks after more than 350,000 members in the field of income tax . It is one of the three largest income tax aid associations in Germany. The aim of the association is to support its members in their tax matters. The support offered by the tax ring includes, among other things, the analysis of the individual tax situation, the preparation of the tax return and checking of the tax assessments .
history
The institution of income tax aid associations was created in 1964 by the legislature. The aim was to provide every employee with affordable tax advice. The Steuerring has been active as an income tax aid association since 1969.
In 1969 the association was founded as a wage tax aid ring Germany eV in Leutershausen on Bergstrasse . 1973 saw the relocation of the association's headquarters to Hamburg and the introduction of electronic data processing . It received recognition as a wage tax aid association according to §14 StBerG in 1976. In 1979 the association's headquarters were relocated to Darmstadt. At that time there were around 30,000 members. In 1990 numerous advice centers were opened in the new federal states and three years later there were 130,000 members. In 2005 the name of the association was changed to wage and income tax aid ring Germany eV The wage and income tax aid ring has been a certified wage tax aid association according to DIN EN ISO 9001 since 2008 , carried out by the German Society for Certification of Management Systems DQS GmbH .

The services of the tax ring include:

quality control
In 2008 the control ring introduced a nationwide quality management system according to the regulations of DIN EN ISO 9001 . In addition, the tax ring supports the tax examinations of its counseling center managers before the certification association of income tax aid associations (ZVL). Therefore, a large number of the control ring advice centers are certified according to DIN 77700 .
Membership in the steering ring
In order to use the tax services of the tax ring, you have to be a member of the association. However - according to the legislature - only certain groups of people are allowed to become members of the income tax aid association. These are:
Membership fees
Members pay an annual membership fee for the association's services plus the one-time admission fee of 14 euros. The contributions of the association are staggered according to the amount of the gross annual income of the member.
