Loivos da Ribeira is a place and a former municipality in northern Portugal .
Loivos da Ribeira belongs to the Baião district in the Porto district . The community had an area of 2.5 km² and 480 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Loivos da Ribeira and Tresouras were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Loivos da Ribeira e Tresouras . Loivos da Ribeira is the seat of this newly formed community.
