Local rate
A local set (also local set) is an adverbial clause or relationship determining sentence which expresses a location determination.

According to Engelen (1986), German is relative clauses with an implicit reference element because the German language does not provide any local subjunctions .
Examples :
- She spends her vacation ( there ) where the sun shines.
- Peter comes from ( from there / from ) where Karl is from.
- Klaus always went ( there ) wherever he was sent.
Authors like Helbig and Buscha, on the other hand, see where from, where to, where as a subjunction and the circumstantial words as correlates . Since their use is not mandatory, they are also in brackets in the above examples.
However, these authors do not question that local clauses are relative clauses.
The words wo, where from, where to are called relative adverbs because they are adverbial elements that introduce a relative clause but are not inflected like a noun . They can often be replaced by adverbial prepositional phrases , which then contain a pronoun, compare sentence pairs like:
- The city where / from which I come is on the Iller.
- Do you know the country where the lemons bloom?
- Canada is the country where / in which wants to move Peter.
