London Brass

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The brass ensemble London Brass was formed from former members of the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble after Philip Jones disbanded his group.

The members Roger Harvey and David Purser decided to fill the gap and founded a successor ensemble in 1986 under the name London Brass. The group was able to seamlessly continue the musical successes of its predecessor ensemble and regularly performed worldwide concert tours until the mid-1990s.

Because of its services in Great Britain, London Brass enjoys Ensemble-in-Residence status with the Royal College of Music .
