London Regatta Center

The London Regatta Center is a rowing and dragon boat racing center in Docklands in the East End of London . It is located in the north-west of the historic Royal Albert Dock directly across from London City Airport . The site is owned by the Royal Albert Dock Trust and is home to the Queen Mary University of London Boat Club , London Youth Rowing , Curlew Rowing Club , London Otters Rowing Club , University of East London Boat Club and the Raging Dragons Dragon Boat Club as well as the Thames Dragons, Wave Walkers, Windy Pandas DBC and Typhoon DBC.

The regatta center was inaugurated by Princess Anne in March 2000 . The building was designed by Ian Ritchie Architects .

The center has a 2000 meter route with seven lanes and one reverse lane. The existing length of the dock of 1750 meters was extended to 2000 meters by the removal and construction of the Woolwich Manor Way Bridge further east of the dock.

The center is near Royal Albert Station on the Docklands Light Railway .
