Long Island University
The Long Iceland University (LIU) is an association of private universities in the US state of New York with two main and six other small, regional locations. There are currently 28,656 students enrolled at the various locations. The college was founded in Brooklyn (New York City) in 1926 . The head office is located on the CW Post Campus.

Sports
Long Island University has two sports teams: The Pioneers on the CW Post Campus and the Blackbirds on the Brooklyn Campus. The university is a member of the Northeast Conference .
