Northeast Conference
The Northeast Conference is a ten-university league for various sports that play in NCAA Division I.
The league was founded in 1981. The members are located in the northeastern United States . Its headquarters are in Somerset , New Jersey .

1 Prior to the 2019-20 academic year, LIU membership in the Northeast Conference was held from the Brooklyn campus. The university merged the Brooklyn Sports Program with the NCAA Division II program of its post-campus in the Nassau County community of Brookville.
2 Some sports, especially basketball, are played in Brooklyn while others, especially football, are played in Brookville.
3 Merrimack College will become a full member of the Northeast Conference in 2019, but will not become a full NCAA Division I member until 2023.
