Emmitsburg is a town in Frederick County in the US state of Maryland . Emmitsburg has 2290 inhabitants on an area of ​​3.0 km². The community is right on the Mason-Dixon Line on the border with the US state of Pennsylvania . Emmitsburg was founded in 1785.
