As Loomi ( Arabic لومي lumi ) is the name ofa condiment in the countries of the Arabian Peninsula that is obtained by boiling ripe limes in salt water and then drying them in the sun. These dried limes are known in Iran as limo omani or limo amani and are often called "black lemons" in German literature.

Loomi are often drilled or lightly mashed in long-simmering stews and in rice dishes, which they give a strong citrus scent and a refreshingly sour aroma, for example in the Persian dish ghorme sabzi .
