Lopez Island is the third largest island of the San Juan Islands , a group of islands in the northwest of the US state Washington .

It has 2176 inhabitants (2002) on an area of ​​76 km².

The island has the largest diameter in north-south direction. The ferry terminal is in the far north, where the Odlin Park and Spencer Spit parks are also located.

To the southeast is the Sperry Peninsula, which Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen acquired in the 1990s .
