Lord Abernethy
Lord Abernethy was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Scotland .
Award
The title was bestowed on June 24, 1233 by King Alexander II through letters patent to Laurence Abernethy , the hereditary lay abbot of Abernethy Monastery in Perth and Kinross .
The title expired with the death of his son, the 2nd Lord, around 1325.
