Lord Fairfax of Cameron is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Scotland .

The historic family seat of the Lords was Denton Hall near Denton in North Yorkshire until around 1710 .

Award

The title was awarded to the English diplomat and military officer Sir Thomas Fairfax on October 18, 1627 .

Today's title holder is his descendant Nicholas Fairfax as the 14th Lord.
