Lorencic is an Austrian wholesale company founded in Graz , Austria in 1985 .

Lorencic has 29 locations in 9 European countries and deals with the trade, rental and service of machines and tools as well as the sale of materials and occupational safety for the construction industry. Lorencic is a subsidiary of Schmid Industrie Holding (SIH).

history

In 1985, Heinz Lorencic opened the company in Graz. In the following 10 years, 5 further branches were opened in Brunn am Gebirge , Wels , Salzburg- Wals, Innsbruck and Klagenfurt . In 1996 Lorencic expanded abroad and founded a joint venture with Tonstav in the Czech Republic and opened the first Lorencic subsidiary in Croatia. This expansion course was continued in 1998 and Lorencic founded a subsidiary in Slovenia.

In 1999, company founder Heinz Lorencic retired, at the same time Lorencic became part of Schmid Industrie Holding and Econova GmbH, and Dr. Josef Waltz. In 2000 Lorencic bought the Austrian company Baudienst and took over its subsidiaries in Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. In 2003 branches were opened in Poland, 2004 in Romania and 2005 in Serbia. In 2007 a subsidiary opened in Bosnia.

In 2014 Schmid Industrie Holding became the sole owner of the company, Dr. Walzer withdrew from the company.

In 2008 Lorencic received an award from Austria's Leading Companies . Lorencic took 2nd place in the Big Player category.
