Lorenzo Vecchi

Lorenzo Vecchi (* before 1564 in Bologna ; † March 3, 1628 ) was an Italian conductor and composer.

Life

Lorenzo Vecchi received his training in grammar and music as a choirboy at the Basilica of San Petronio in Bologna. He was finally ordained and appointed chaplain in 1589, entered the chapel there and was appointed bandmaster there on April 30, 1599. He probably held this position until his death.
