Loretta Long
Loretta Long (* 4. October 1938 in Paw Paw , Michigan , USA as Loretta Mae Moore ) is an American actress.
Career
In 1967, Long had Soul! her first television appearance. Since 1969 she has played the role of Susan on Sesame Street . Long is the only actress who has been on the show since the beginning of the series to this day. In addition, she lent her voice to several characters in the first seasons, including the mother of Roosevelt Franklin . She was also seen in the film Elmo in Grummelland . Long also made several guest appearances on television shows, including the Flip Wilson Show and the Today Show . In 1973, Long received a Ph. D. Her doctoral thesis was entitled "Sesame Street": A Space Age Approach to Education for Space Age Kids.
