Lori Ostlund

Lori Ostlund (born 1965 ) is an American writer . She is best known for her short story collection The Bigness of the World and her novel After the Parade .

Life

Lori Ostlund graduated with an MA from Minnesota State University Moorhead and the University of New Mexico . After graduation, she taught English in New Mexico, Spain and Malaysia and worked as an antique dealer. Today she teaches at The Art Institute of California in San Francisco, where she also lives.
