Andrés Balhorn (* 1963 in Monte Carlo, Argentina ) is a German singer , author , composer and music producer from Bendestorf in Lower Saxony .

life and work

Andrés Balhorn was born in Monte Carlo to a German missionary family in the northern part of Argentina. When he was three years old, the family moved back to Germany. Balhorn grew up in Duisburg . After graduating from high school and studying at the Sports University in Cologne , he began to study English and American rock / pop singers.

In 1987 he was the first VocalCoach to give rock / pop singing workshops in Germany. So far he has given more than 600 workshops in Germany , Italy , Switzerland , Austria , Greece , Spain and Argentina , at universities ( University of Music "Hanns Eisler" Berlin ), singing academies, musical schools and music schools, regional music institutes, the Instituto Carlos Culmey, as well at the largest voice festival in Europe in Lörrach .

After various, including private classical vocal training, research in the field of "rock / pop voice" in collaboration with doctors, speech therapists, acousticians and instrument makers, he wrote the book Powervoice , which was published in 1996 and reissued several times.
