Lothar Müller-Nedebock

Lothar Müller-Nedebock (* July 2, 1929 in Tirschtiegel ; † March 11, 1990 in Johannesburg ) was a Protestant clergyman, missionary and most recently President of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Southern Africa (Natal-Transvaal) .

Life

Müller-Nedebeck studied theology and was ordained in Empangeni on August 28, 1955 . In the same year he became a station missionary in Ehlanzeni , in 1962 a station missionary for southern Zululand and pastor of the German congregation in Hebron , in 1963 additionally pastor of the English-speaking congregation in Eshowe . In 1965 he became theological teacher at the Kwamondi Evangelist Seminary and pastor of the Hebron and Eshowe congregations . In 1967 he was appointed Vice President of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Southern Africa (Natal-Transvaal). At the same time he was a member of the church leadership and the spiritual council. In 1972 he became pastor of the Durban congregation (Luther Church). In 1973 he became President of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Southern Africa (Natal-Transvaal).
