Lou A. Probsthayn

Lou A. Probsthayn (* 1960 in East Berlin ) is a German writer, publisher and literary organizer.

Life

Probsthayn studied German literature and art history in Hamburg from 1984 to 1988. During his studies he is involved in the literary scene in Hamburg. He was a founding member of the “PENG” group of authors - an acronym for the authors Probsthayn, Reimer Eilers, Nicolas Nowack and Gunter Gerlach . The group of authors deals with alternative forms of presentation of literature. He was a member of the artists' associations LAOLA-CLUB, FORUM DER 13 and initiator and signatory of the literary manifesto Hamburger Dogma .

He is the owner and managing director of Literatur Quickie Verlag Hamburg. The basis of the Literature Quickie Verlag is the series of events of the same name, which presents a weekly literature reading in the Hamburg trendy bar “Feldstern”.

Probsthayn lives with his family in Hamburg.
