Lou Briel (born October 19, 1962 in San Juan ) is a Puerto Rican singer, composer, actor, television presenter and producer.

Briel began his career in the 1970s as leader and member of the vocal trio Anexo 3 , with whom he released four albums, including the successful titles Oh, cuánto te amo , Es por eso que estoy preso and Bebu Silvetti's Contigo . On Canal 7 television they had their own program called Contigo ... Anexo 3 . After the group broke up, Briel began a solo career as a singer and composer. With Xo puedo he took part in the Festival de Buga in Colombia in 1985.

At the OTI Festival he represented Puerto Rico with his song Todo llega . Edgardo Huergo performed with his composition Navegaré and Juan Manuel Lebrón with the Salsa Reprensento at other festivals of the OTI . The latter became a classic in Puerto Rico in versions by Gilberto Santa Rosa , José Feliciano , Tony Vega , Juan Manuel Lebrón and Briel itself. At the festival in Mérida, Mexico, Ivonne Briel appeared in 1992 with his song La mujer que sueño ser , and he himself won third prize with the composition En busca del amor . In 1985 Yolandita Monge popularized Tanto amor and Nunca te diré adiós , the title song of the telenovela Ave de paso . The actress Johanna Rosaly recorded El amor nuestro de cada día , the title song of the telenovela of the same name.

As an actor, Briel was successful in the role of Sancho Panza in a production of Don Quixote . On television he worked in the productions Voces y Carol and En Broma y en Serio . From 1995 to 2005 he produced his own television show called Voces in Fonción , in which he introduced guests and new talents.
